new audio system

ooh, that looks fun and gadgety! i hope it's as fabulous as it looks :)
oh yes very cool!
[this is good]
Oooh that's fancy. I bought myself a similar system not very long ago to replace my gigantic stereo I've had for years. Having everything in one system is really awesome. Yay for new toys!!

Yeah, it's really cool. It turns out that it can also play mp3 and Windows Media files on CD-R/CD-RW and Flash memory devices, and it probably can do several other things I haven't figured out yet.

It's significantly smaller than my previous audio system, which was pretty large.

The best thing is that it only cost $185 including tax :-D

Ooh. This looks like so technogeek heaven. And only $185! Not bad at all, considering how pricey these things get. I hope you enjoy it!
Laura,

How does that thing sound? I gotta get a new clock radio and this looks like the first thing I've seen that doesn't sound constipated for $100 or very decent for $400. Still liking it?

I'm enjoying it so far, the sound is quite good. I'm sure that you could get something a lot better for a lot more money, but this works well for my apartment and doesn't overwhelm it.
Thanks! I went trolling all over NYC yesterday looking for a clock radio that could play CDs. Every one I listened to under $200 was just unpleasant to listen to. It's crazy that it's so hard to replace an old, tiny $50 analog radio/clock that sounds so much sweeter than these cockamamie things I kept trying out.

Saw a stack of boxes of that one in a CompUSA but there were none on display to hear. Thanks for the reply!
